Boric Acid

A mineral salt derived of boron and water; Boric Acid possesses both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. This makes it an excellent remedy for bacterial vaginosis and candida yeast infections.

The vagina has a naturally acidic environment, with a pH ranging from 3.8 to 4.5. This acidity helps inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and yeast. When this pH balance is disrupted, it can lead to infections. Boric acid, which is mildly acidic, is thought to help restore the optimal pH level by creating an environment less conducive to the growth of harmful microorganisms.

Some studies suggest that boric acid may even have anti-inflammatory effects, which contributes to the relief of symptoms associated with infections and imbalances in the vagina.
